A Month of Remembrance

For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,
II Peter 1:12-13 NKJV

When Moses came to the end of his journey, he made sure to remind the people of the things that were said and done in the past, lest they seek what was already revealed. Paul and Peter did the same thing. These reminders usually came at the end of a life, season, or journey.

We are also coming to the end of a year and should take advantage of this powerful scriptural principle. Let’s go back to our notes and journals and remind ourselves of what God said and did this year. Let’s examine how much of it we are walking in, and stir ourselves up to be established in the things that have been revealed and instructed.

Let this month be for you a month of remembrance and pressing in. Remind and stir yourself to obedience. May the Spirit of the Living God quicken you and grant you grace as you commit to this. Amen!
