The Assurance of Salvation – Repentance Is More Than a Moment

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1 (NKJV)

It begins with the sinner’s prayer, but it continues with a life of surrender.

Acknowledging Jesus as Lord means a lifestyle change—a commitment to live according to His Word.

That’s the true definition of repentance—and it is the path to peace and reassurance.

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”—1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (ESV)

  • Emulate His character
  • Forgive like Jesus
  • Have compassion like Jesus
  • Hate sin like Jesus
  • Be generous like Jesus
  • Love like Jesus
  • Love the Word of God—and live it out

Present yourself to God daily in prayer! Live the Christian life!

This is not just a suggestion—it’s a commitment to follow Jesus as Lord, because you have surrendered to Him.

If you haven’t yet dedicated your life to Jesus, you can do that today.

Prayer for Salvation

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Please forgive my sins.
I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You were raised for my justification—to make me righteous.
I confess that You are my Savior and Lord. Please wash away all my sins, make me a new creation, and write my name in the Book of Life.
From today, I choose to follow You as my Lord. Amen!
