He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

The passage below speaks of believers receiving the Holy Spirit. But it was more than just receiving the Spirit—it was also about manifesting the Spirit: “Out of their bellies shall flow rivers of living water…”

The Holy Spirit, being a gift from God, also brings with Him spiritual gifts. It’s time to ask for the manifestation and activation of these gifts in our lives—because the Giver of the gifts lives within us.

Stir up the gifts of the Spirit already within you.

We need these gifts to demonstrate the glory of God.

You stir the gifts by:

So begin to speak:

• Worshiping without ceasing
• Praying without ceasing
• Praying in tongues continually
• Exercising your faith and using the gift as the occasion demands

The rivers are meant to flow—let them flow through you.
