For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
II Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV
The above scripture highlights two critical truths: we are engaged in spiritual warfare, and God has provided us with powerful weapons for this battle. Yet, when faced with opposition, many believers fail to recognize or use these weapons effectively.
What are these weapons? While different people may give varied lists, here is a simple and memorable one:
- The Name of Jesus – Our first and most powerful weapon. We will explore why shortly.
- The Word of God – Specifically, the rhema word, which is a spoken, active word from God.
- The Blood of Jesus – A weapon we recently discussed, offering protection, cleansing, and authority.
- Other spiritual tools – These include your obedience, prayer life, yieldedness, devotion, giving, and service to God. Though often overlooked, these habits are essential to staying armed and effective.
Keep these in mind as we prepare to explore each weapon more deeply.
**Prayer**: Pray for wisdom, understanding, and skill in using these spiritual weapons.
